How To Install TS3 Custom Content

First you will need to extract .package or .Sim3Pack from .zip or .rar archives by using WinRar or 7zip.

To install .package automatically: use TS3 Install Helper Monkey from ModTheSims.

To install .package manually:

• You will need a file called Resource.cfg, which you can download at ModTheSims
• Extract the Resource.cfg file from the .rar
• Windows: Place that file in Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\ - then place any .package files in Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages (Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 and Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages for Vista 64)
  Macintosh: Place that file in The Sims 3.app > Contents > Resources > transgaming > c_drive > Program Files > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. Then place any .package files in The Sims 3.app > Contents > Resources > transgaming > c_drive > Program Files > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Mods > Package

To install .Sims3Pack: double-click it and the TS3 Launcher will automatically install custom content.
